  • What is a day of coordinator?

    A day of coordinator is essentially a wedding manager that works with you throughout the wedding planning process to ensure you have everything you need squared away! Like all large events, a wedding has many moving pieces and many involved parties who must be able to work together in sync. So while you are busy getting ready, doing a first look, and just enjoying every special wedding day moment, your coordinator is behind the scenes ensuring that everything is executed perfectly…because it’s hard to run the show and be the star at the same time.

  • Does a day of coordinator only help on the day of?

    No! I chat with my brides at least once a month and am constantly in the loop about need-to-know wedding details, like what vendors still need booked, what the venue does/does not provide, etc. But typically the conversations you have with your coordinator leading up to the event focus on “day of” logistics (e.g. less about what invitation looks best and more about when people should RSVP by). Every day of coordination business is run a little differently, so if you are wanting assistance with something specific, just ask!

  • Can't my family member or a friend just do this for me?

    Ultimately, this is your decision. But keep in mind that it’s extremely difficult to enjoy your time as a wedding guest and be the behind the scenes manager. Here are some things to think about: Does your friend have a lot of experience coordinating weddings? Will she know how to create a functional event space or how to create a wedding timeline that paces the day perfectly? Does she know the order for your processional and will she be in communication with each of your vendors? If the venue staff sets out the wrong chair or linen, will she notice? These are just some of the things that happen behind the scenes!

  • Where do you coordinate weddings?

    K & Co. Events is based in Morgantown, West Virginia, but I coordinate weddings in the surrounding area from Pittsburgh down to Snowshoe and beyond. Weddings outside of a 45 minute radius may be subject to a travel fee. Reach out for more details!

  • What is your pricing?

It may be something that is already included and just not listed, or something that you can add on to the Elite package for an additional fee.

  • What do I need to do before booking a day of coordinator?

    Before reaching out, please be sure that you have a venue booked and a date selected so we can be sure our schedules are compatible! The rest is up to you. Some brides have a lot of tasks completed before contacting me, while others have just gotten engaged. Do what feels right, but don’t wait too long. Our 2023 calendar is booking up fast!
